Latest Installment in What the secret is ????

I met two people on Friday who were both celebrating their 50th anniversary--a man and woman.  The gentleman's answer to the secret was that he didn't know but said patience.  His wife was very patient with him.  The woman on the other hand said that her secret is that she married her best friend.  Always a good idea.  Went to a wedding yesterday, the same day I met the two couples.  I just hope that they are as happy in love and marring their best friend as these couples were.  Kevin requested our wedding song  "Your just too good to be true" by Frankie Valli

13 years of marriage Doing Different Things Is that the secret?????

I met a woman who was celebrating her 13th year of marriage.  It looked like she might have been going through cancer since she had a bandana around her head.  When I asked her what the secret was she said that her and her husband do different things.  Do you think this is the secret or is doing things together the secret????  

Married 23 years seperate or equal things

What is better  to do things together or apart.  I visited a couple who were celebrating their 23rd anniversary.  The funny thing was they received an arrangement that was for the neighbor.  She must have been having a surprise party and wanted it delivered somewhere else.  The couple just happened to be celebrating their anniversary.  She runs and he plays golf but I guess it works.  On Friday I delivered to a gentleman that was celebrating his 60th WOW the secret Love and Harmony I guess it works because they have been married for 60 years Peace and Harmony Lisa

Secrets to a Marriage 15 and 43 years

I met two people on Wednesday that were celebrating their anniversaries.  The first was celebrating her 15 years and she said the secret was compassion.  We talked about how I was also celebrating my 15th this year.  The next person I met was celebrating her 43rd.  WOW she got married the year I was born 1968.  Her secret was consideration.  These are all good secrets to marriage.  Life is rocky and you need to go up and down the rocks.  Marriage is difficult but can be very rewarding.  My cousin and her husband are also celebrating their 15th this year and are in love as much as they were when they were first dating. Marriage 6/3/2011 50 years

I met someone on Friday who was married 50 years.  I asked my usual question What is the secret.  She answers that she is a glutton for punishment.  They were on a cruise for their 45th and was asked what the secret was.  They were married the longest and everyone was looking for a profound answer.  Everyone laughed.  Actually she said that she wasn't a religious person but more of a spiritual one.  The three C's to a successful marriage--Christ Compassion and Communication. 

Marriage 6/1/2011 20 years

Hi I met a gentleman yesterday who was celebrating his 20th anniversary 1991-2011 and of course I asked him the secret to a successful marriage.  No secret was what he said.  All of my responses were good laughter communication etc no multiple partners thank God but there was no secret.  I wonder if his wife would say the same thing

What is the secret to a great marriage???   There are so many answers.  As many of you know I work for Edible Arrangements bringing joy to people.  I love to meet the people who are celebrating an anniversary.  Most have been married a very long time so I love hearing the answer to them.  I meet men and woman and always ask the same thing.  What is the secret.  Yesterday while delivering a arrangement to a woman in Barrington; I asked her what the secret is to still being married.  She was married in 97 So 14 years.  Her secret was that her husband lived away six months out of the year specifically in DC.  
Marriage is hard and takes a lot of work.  

Last week I had two people receiving anniversary arrangements.  One was married 48 years and the other 45.  The gentleman who was celebrating his 48th 1963-2011 secret was that marriage was/is a bumpy road and you have to go with the bumps.  The one who was married 45 1966-2011 said that her and her husband never disagreed about the disciplining of the children.  

The Patriots

Living in New England country I always got busted for wearing my Dolphins stuff.  From the time I was little and friends would ask me to name a Dolphins player.  Of course I said Bob Greise.  And they would be name another one and I would name so many Larry Czonka Mercury Morris etc etc  I have hated the Patriots for as long as I can remember.  My team went undefeated your team couldn't even make it to the Super Bowl  Of course this was before Brady or even Bledsoe for that matter.  Why do Pats fans feel the need to gloat or make excuses.  The reason they got beat in the Super Bowl was because Brady was hurt not because the Giants were the better team Did I even root for the Giants because that was the only way the Fins would remain undefeated.  No of course not I kept my pie hole shut until the end of the game when the Pats lost and I gloated to my cousins Fins fans alike.  They lost to the Jets they were the better team and no matter if the Fins were 0-16 they are still in the same place the Pats are in on the golf course not at the big show.  Did the Patriots have a great season of course 14-2 nothing to sneeze about but they didn't win.  Of course even if they had they would have had to face Pittsburg and what would have been the excuses then????  Morale of the story talk snack on your own wall and face defeat like a man with grace

Day # 3 or Will I get past a week

I just blog to write down my thoughts.  Not that anyone is reading them.  Resolution # 4 is to finish my lighthouse album.  I want to take pictures of the lighthouses in Rhode Island and do an album with them.  I went the other day and took the picture of one.  As I was doing my research I read about the lighthouse at Nyatt Point in Barrington.  It is on the list on the National Register but the owners because it is a private resident will not allow people on the property.  I don't think this is fair.  If your house is on the registry then at least you should allow people to see the outside.  I also learned about a number of lighthouses that are now not in instance.  One of them has a skeleton light and can be seem from the Mt Hope Bridge and another that is still there I never knew it was.  Next time I go over the bridge I will have to check it out.  Of course some of them are on island which you have to take a ferry to--Maybe in the summer.  Diana's basketball game is today and I will see Aimee which is always nice.  She is playing her daughter.  They play together on AAU.

Day # 2 Resolutions

I am still talking about resolutions.  Talked to my friend Lauren about hers. She told me that she would scrapbook one month but not which month.  We made tentative plans on Saturday night.  Her to organize her photos and me to do whatever. Lets see if she keeps it.   Well I finished resolution # 2 and 3.  I did the challenge.  It was to use pink brown and green.  For New Year's Day we went to breakfast at the Sunnyside in Warren.  If you dressed in pj's then the kids got a free breakfast and adults free Bloody Marys or mimosas.  YUM  One of Diana's old teacher--her husband was there with their daughter.  They just came back from Disney so it was fun talking about it.  Of course since I did the challenge I had scrap booked once this week.  Shit forgot to take my picture.  Got to do that.  There are so many scrapbooks that I have got to finish.  I really love doing it but sometimes don't have the time.  Well dinner is in the oven I thought we would have pork chops with a marinade but Kevin did this thing with diced tomatoes.  Smells good. 

First Day of my Blog

One of my New Year's resolutions is to start a blog.  I had started one before but like everything I have done I either got too lazy or stopped using it because more important things have happened in my life.  So here goes again.  New Years Resoultutions--Do we ever keep them?????   I feel like Carrie Bradshaw writing her column.  But I am not Carrie and Kevin isn't Big.  The resoulutions always include lose weight stop smoking excersize more  You get the picture.  Why is it never gain weight start smoking and excersizing less?????   My resoulutions include those but not the smoking part because I don't smoke.  Some of my resolutions include taking a least one photo per day.  But since I am taking the photo I need to scrapbook it which brings me to # 2 Scrapbook at least once per week.  My friend Lauren's resoultion is to scrapbook at least once per month.  Lets see if she does that..  Brings me into # 3 work on my lighthouse album.  I have been taking photos of lighthouses and really want to do an album of them.  I took one picture today.  Of course I thought it was in a different place that where it was.  I thought it belonged to Barrington when it was really in Warwick.  I want to make Sunday dinners.  Do you ever notice that as a family we don' t eat Sunday dinners anymore.  Lets see if that happens.  I also want to do the pinkstamper.com challenges.  The first one is due tommorrow.  Well I got the paper for it  pink brown and green  I guess that is a start.  Of course I have no idea where my photos are.  I guess that will be on the resolution list  BE MORE ORGANIZED  #8 START A BLOG-- Well I started it lets see if I finish it and lastly work on my hobby of genealogy.  WOW what a list lets see if I finish any of them.
